    The Summer That Changes Everything

Summer Intensives for Young ActorsStudio Acting Conservatory, Washington, DC

Washington, DC shapes leaders, artists, and storytellers.

Give your young actor a summer that builds all three.

Studio Acting Conservatory's Summer Intensives for Young Actors is a three-week, full-day training program for teens ages 12–17 — right in the heart of DC. Modeled on SAC's professional conservatory curriculum, each intensive pairs morning movement, voice, and musical theatre classes with a two-and-a-half-hour afternoon acting class. Students work on monologues, scenes, songs, and ensemble pieces, and finish the session with a Final Scenes presentation for friends and family.

Before the intensive begins, Studio Acting Conservatory holds placement auditions to make sure every young actor starts in the right class for their experience level. Auditions are held by appointment on June 13 from 10am to 12pm. No preparation is necessary — once registered, your student will receive their appointment time. It's a low-pressure introduction and the first step toward a great summer.

    What Students Will Experience:

    • Realistic and classical acting techniques including Shakespeare
    • Voice and body training for the stage
    • Movement and musical theatre exploration
    • Scene work, monologues, songs, and ensemble pieces
    • A final performance presentation for family and friends
